Welcome to the Augusta IMA Chapter’s Award Winning Website!

Our new website is:  www.AugustaIMA.com

Here's a bit of history on our Chapter:

The Augusta IMA Chapter was chartered on January 1, 1968 with 51 charter members under the direction of chapter president James H. Odell.  Other individuals serving on the organizational committee were Charles Parson, Bill Bond, Fleming Love, Milton Standlee, Joe Rogers, Joe Croft, Carlisle Daniels, Jesse Landsell, and Marshall Sprayberry.  None of these charter members are involved with the Chapter now, but we honor them here.

Augusta is the home of Augusta State University, Paine College, Augusta Technical Institute and University of South Carolina at Aiken where IMA student chapters have been established in the past.  The Augusta Chapter strives to be involved with the students and these students frequently become active members of our chapter.  We encourage faculty members to be active in our Chapter so that their students will have opportunities for networking and certification upon graduation.

The Augusta Chapter represents an important link in the chapters that are members of the Carolinas Council.  We joined the Carolinas Council many years ago after separating from the Gulf South Council.  The distance of travel to it was difficult for our chapter leaders.  The Carolinas Council has reaped the rewards of our association in that several of our leaders have served as council President as well as in other key council leadership positions.

The Augusta Chapter was established to serve what area residents know as the Central Savannah River Area, which includes not only Augusta, but parts of eastern Georgia and western South Carolina including Aiken and North Augusta.  In fact, the initial charter request for the new chapter's name was the "Central Savannah River Area".

Today, the Augusta Chapter has 80 members which includes 20 students members from area institutions.  We seek additional members -- both business and student.

Please feel free to contact me vial email president@augustaima.com and let me know how I and the Augusta Chapter of the IMA can be of service to you.

Augusta and Gleim
IMA Chapter Partnership
2007-2008
The Augusta Chapter has entered into a partnership with Gleim to ensure your success on the CMA/CFM exams!

We are working together to provide you with the necessary tools that you need to prepare for these difficult exams.

Gleim provides CMA/CFM candidates with an extensive self-study course for both the old and new CMA/CFM exams. Our most successful candidates use the Complete CMA System with the Online Course. This system combines books, software, audio reviews, the Online Course, and a personal counselor (a real live person!) to maximize your available study time. Because we identify and focus on your weak areas, you will not spend any more time preparing than is necessary to guarantee success. The Complete CMA System with the Online Course GUARANTEES that you will pass each section on the first try. We are here to save you time and money.

Because of your membership in the Augusta Chapter, you are eligible for significant discounts on any of Gleim's CMA/CFM materials, as well as Gleim's Online CPE.

To take advantage of the discounts that are offered, please contact Matthew Cmar at 800-874-5346, ext. 135.

How to update your IMA Membership Info Online
First, click here to go to imanet.org.  On the main page look for entry menu titled "Members Only" on the left side.  Enter your username and password.  If you haven't already set up a login, then the default is your membership number and last name.  Your membership number can be found on the mailing address label for your IMA magazine or you can call IMA at 1-800-638-4427 to obtain your login info.

Why Update My Info Online?
When changes occur in your employment, home address, telephone, email, or how you wish to be contacted by your chapter, it is up to you to make the change with IMA headquarters -- where your membership is maintained and renewed.  When you receive an email from us it is because your email address is registered at IMA headquarters and our info comes from that source.  When you do not receive communications from us it is because your info registered with IMA is incorrect.
